Welcome to No Time To Think (notimetothink.co), an independent web novel site run by the writer with the pen name Mussette. These terms are the rules for using the site. By reading, joining, or commenting, you agree to them. Please also read the Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled.
Who can use the site
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Paid memberships are for people 18 or older, or younger readers with a parent or guardian's permission.
- If you use the site on behalf of someone else, you're responsible for following these terms.
Your account
- You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, so keep your email account secure.
- Use an email address you own, and one account per person.
- Your display name is public. Don't pick one that impersonates someone, or that's offensive or misleading.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access, email me right away.
My stories
Every story, chapter, character, illustration, and piece of writing on this site belongs to me, Mussette, and is protected by copyright. All rights are reserved.
You're welcome to read everything for your own personal enjoyment. Sharing a link to a story or chapter is always appreciated! Without my written permission, you may not:
- Copy, repost, or republish my stories anywhere, in whole or in part. Short quotes with credit and a link back are fine.
- Translate my stories or publish translations.
- Sell, adapt, or make anything commercial from my stories or characters.
- Use my stories to train artificial intelligence, or scrape the site with bots or automated tools.
- Share paid or members-only chapters outside the site.
If you think something on the site infringes your rights, email me and I'll look into it.
Comments and community
Comments are for talking about the stories, so keep them kind. When you comment:
- Be respectful to me and other readers. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate.
- Warn before spoilers for chapters other readers may not have reached.
- No spam, ads, self-promotion, or links to pirated or unsafe sites.
- Keep it legal. Don't post anything sexually explicit, or anything that breaks the law or someone else's rights.
- Protect privacy. Don't share personal information about yourself or anyone else.
You keep ownership of your comments. By posting, you let me display them on the site, alongside your display name. I can remove any comment, or limit or close an account, if it breaks these rules or makes the community feel unsafe.
Paid memberships
If you choose a paid membership, these rules apply:
- Billing: payments are handled securely by Stripe. The price and what's included are shown before you pay.
- Renewal: memberships renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- Cancelling: you can cancel anytime in your account. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds: payments generally aren't refunded for partial months or years. If something went wrong, such as a double charge, email me and I'll make it right.
- Purchases made without permission: if someone used a card without the cardholder's OK, including a child using a parent's card, email me and I'll refund it and cancel the membership.
- Price changes: I'll tell members by email before a price changes. The new price applies only to future renewals.
- What's included can change: early access timing and members-only content may change as the site grows.
Mature content
Some stories include swearing, violence, grief, or other mature themes. Each story page lists its tags, so check them before you start reading and decide what's right for you.
It's all fiction
The stories on this site are works of fiction. Names, characters, places, and events are made up or used fictionally. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to real events is a coincidence.
Changes to stories and the site
I write in my free time, so there's no set posting schedule. I may revise, pause, or remove stories and chapters, and change or remove site features at any time. I'll do my best to keep things running smoothly, but I can't promise the site will always be available or error-free.
Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime by emailing me. I may also close accounts in these cases:
- Breaking the rules: I may warn, suspend, or permanently close an account that breaks these terms or crosses a line, such as harassing other readers. Serious cases may be closed without warning. If a paid membership is closed for breaking the rules, it won't be refunded, including the rest of the current month or year you paid for.
- Long inactivity: I may delete free accounts that haven't been signed into for 1 year. I'll email you at least 30 days before, and signing in once keeps your account. Accounts with an active paid membership are never deleted for inactivity.
Disclaimers
The site and its stories are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, No Time To Think and Mussette aren't responsible for indirect or unexpected losses from using the site. If I'm ever found responsible for something, my total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid me in the 12 months before the issue, or $50 if you haven't paid anything. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States. If we ever disagree, let's first try to sort it out by email.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, I'll update the effective date at the top. For bigger changes, I'll also let members know by email or with a notice on the site. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
